I don't understand the Leinster 'Blue' and 'White' teams, Ormond Lad. Do you have any idea what that's about? Is one a first choice and the other a second choice, or are they supposed to be equally strong?ormond lad wrote:todays results

Re: Age Grade Interpros
I would assume the Blue side is more of a 1st choice and White is more of a 2nd choice considering the groups they were in for the first games.hugonaut wrote:I don't understand the Leinster 'Blue' and 'White' teams, Ormond Lad. Re: Age Grade Interpros
Good game but refereeing was poor. blatant crossing missed in lead up to a leinster try in 2nd half and no reffing at all of the breakdownthe spoofer wrote:Leinster A Schools lost 20-18 but won 40 - 33 on aggregate.
Some excellant players on the field with several who looked more than capable of playing at a higher level
Leinsters 2 flankers donnacadh carroll(gorey cs) and daniel buckley(wilsons hospital) were excellant
Leinster went 18-3 up early in the 2nd half after that try and after that Munster started to get some decisions off the ref and got some very good scores

Nick Timoney [No8 on the Blackrock SCT & Leinster U18 Schools team last season] is U18 again this year as well, isn't he? Or have I got that wrong?goreyguy wrote:Quick update on the u18 side for this year, most of the squad listed below.

as far as I'm aware he is overage by a month or two. Born late '95, going into 6th year next season though.

Re: Age Grade Interpros
Quite a few players who were under 18 last season are moving straight to under 20 level.
Oisin Heffernan(prop), Josh Murphy(flanker), Ross Byrne(outhalf) and Billy Dardis(fullback).
Of course Rory Moloney has joined Connacht's academy instead of Leinster's sub-academy.
Brewer would be with them but I believe he is out with a hip injury.
In other news Leinster underage rugby have lost a great talent in Dan Casey who has joined Sunderland this summer.

Couple of questions. 1) Assume these players have all finished school? 2) Is Leavy considered to be beyond that level now?goreyguy wrote:Leavy isn't involved with the u20 setup. Brewer is out injured until mid october or that.

Yes Leavy is beyond playing 20s as will develop more in full set up instead of playing 3 20s interpros in september
