Ireland u19 playing two games over easter.
Ireland u18 have two sides, 1 playing in a 5 nations tournament and another playing in a tri nations tournament.

Heard Jack Regan and Tom De Jongh are with Ireland u19 squad, Eoghan Clarke & TOmmy O'Callaghan are in u18 squads.

yeah usually around 40 in the extended squad, i'd say clubs are at clongowes and schools are either there or at KH.

Is Patterson 18s or 19s? If 18s it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Hugh O'Sullivan was picked ahead of him, outstanding performance for Belvedere in the final and was in the extended squad last year as a 4th year.

He is 18s (5th year). He was played on the wing for Rock in the SC in order to cover injuries. Apparently there is also an excellent Ulster SH at that age but I dont know his name. No u18s squad announced on the IRFU site yet. They fly out tomorrow and they play England on Thursday.

Jonny Stewart is the Ulster SH, was with Ireland u18 last season as a u17. Captain Ulster schools this year.
Another Ulster SH is playing with Ireland u18 aswell apparently, Rhys O'Donnell. Probably with the tri nations side but unclear as of yet.

Two other spots, would be surprised if one wasn't Barry Walsh from Connacht. Leaving one spot left, could be Hugh O'Sullivan or Aaron Rice from Munster.

Hawkshaws only a 4th year, very impressive. Be interesting to see how himself and Liam Turner perform.

not the 1st 4th years to make the squad.. although it's obviously a very good sign.

Be interested to see what position Turner plays.

So he's an under 17 then... not the first and isn't a huge deal. He's an under 17 playing under 18s. With schools senior being under 19 you will see lots of under 17s(4th years) playing under 18 internationals etc

you don't see that many players in 4th year, don't think there was any last year.

Jordan Larmour & James Ryan are the last two I remember.

Not saying it's the first time it's ever happened but it's by no means common. Can only be a good sign if their making the squad at that age, no harm in showing a bit of excitement.
