Metro League changes

Post by ormond lad »

Rob Murphy(knockon.ie) outlined changes to the J1-6 structure back in June and as I may be based in Dublin this season and will play up here I wonder have the divisions been decided yet and if not does anyone know when they will be decided?

Rob outlines what he believes the league will look like below

It will all depend on how many teams each club enter. Some maybe regraded also. Think we'll only truly know about 3rd weekend of september...

Nice start for Tallaght yesterday beating Coolmine 11-0 in Division 7.

I love that it's a proper league with home and away fixtures.

I dislike the fact that the last fixtures are in mid February. Why not spread the fixtures around and have cup matches in between? In April and May, when the pitches are in best nick smaller clubs are twiddling their thumbs.

Thought I may as well bump this?

Do many here play? What do they think of divisions 1-11 in comparison to old set up?

Very little discussion of domestic rugby here? Why? Is some in other areas here but that's mainly just dealing with contracted players in the club game...
