My old school vs my kids' old school. Think I'll wait for the result before telling them it's on
I like your right leg. A lovely leg for the role.
I've got nothing against your right leg.
The trouble is ... neither have you

Gorey are a fast developing hot-bed of rugby excellence, for girls and boys. Great coaching bringing success to both teams. Watch this space.

Have seen them once. 3 point loss to Rock who had their number physically.

6 is too few 6th years. Eight 5th years. One 4th year. Tellingly from the match reports of Rock's win over Pres Bray was the fact that they used 6 subs (all 2nd half) whereas Pres used just 2, one of which was a forced replacement in the first half. This is where the competition dynamic is changing most. If you have a genuine matchday 23 that you can rotate then the the opposition 15/17 will be steamrolled by the end.

Rock and Belvo have a huge advantage with numbers having 1,000 pupils each. They are twice as large as most and four times bigger than the co-ed schools. Even Michael's with all their investment and new culture, at just 540 pupils, struggle to have 23 that can compete with the behemoths that Rock can literally manufacture.

Last year's Michael's team was the best I ever saw from that school but they screwed up royally in the semi, even allowing for Belvo's chutzpah and their non-grounded try. Michael's would have given Rock a better game in the final and possibly won. I think this lot are a year too early.

Yes, I am getting my excuses in early!

Rock aren't as talented this year as last, where Michaels are about the same.

Still fancy rock to win it.

Michaels 52 Kilkenny 10 today.
