Watched it on Setanta last night, impressed with Michaels. Belvedere murdered them up front in first half, Michaels made best of their opportunities.
Good to see Noel Reid come on as a sub.

I understand the coach required a police escort to and from the ground.

belvo took an early 3-0 lead in the first half. st. michaels captain conor cleary missed a penalty to level the scores before belvo flanker synott drove his way over the line just before half time. michaels came out all guns blazing in the second half. cleary registered their first points with a penalty from inside the 22. 10 minutes later michaels scrum half freddy mehigan kicked the ball deep into the belvo 22 and rory pratt did enough to force belvo to kick it into the hands of michaels prop ian leanard, this led to no.8, paddy mallon getting over in the corner. noel reid was subbed on, scored 2 penalties to take michaels into the lead before victory was secured through a block down try from hooker john daniels

The minis winning in the Coolmine thing no consolation then?

Didn't think so.

I'm not sure what's worse..... a Leinster born and bred person jumping on the Munster bandwagon or a Bray past pupil supporting Michaels. :?

   He's some coach that guy though. Not only do his team run fantastic lines, tackle like demons and move the ball at pace......he also successfully got to stop his team from throwing ketchup at each in the Coolmine club house.....

Very impressed with the Michael's 12. Cleary, I think? Has he played for Leinster/Irish schools or anything?

this is clearys 3rd yearon the sct, before that he was captain pf the jct. last year he made the leinster u18's and after an impressive cup campaign he was picked at 2nd center for the irish schools. this year he is captain of the sct and is also now captain of the leinster u19s. this years irish schools team will be picked after the cup campaign

Cheers, TB. Guy has quality written all over him.

Not sure about the cup for Michaels though, Ryan. Their pack got the sh!t kicked out of them and it was only poor execution by Belvo that kept them in the game. Thought Michaels openside looked handy too though.

michaels openside is rajan reilly, this is also his 3rd year on the sct. he was on the jct for 2 years in a row aswell. he was selected for leinster at u18s level last year before spending part of the summer training with the Natal Sharks academy in south africa. this year he made the irish school boys trials and is currently starting openside for the leinster u19s

Who needs Wikipedia?!

Cheers TB, I'm clearly not spotting "new" talent with those 2 guys but they were head and shoulders above the rest of the players on the park I thought. Wasn't that convinced by Slattery the Belvo No.8 who seems to get a fair bit of hype.
