David Clavin plays openside for Tullamore. He played on the Clongowes SCT winning team in 2000 (i think). He played Irish schools then at 12, with Gavin Duffy playing 13-played against James Simpson Daniel and Marcel Garvey that year.

He is one that has slipped through the Leinster net, and should be playing AIL.

He was the best player on the pitch today by a country mile. Would easily make any AIL Div 2 side! Always was a better Flanker than IC, and was probably bigger when playing SCT!

ah cr@p, was hoping wicklow would do it. Youd be surprised how many quality players there are in the leinster league. Even some of the wicklow players have played AIL Div 1 and others have had stints in England with the likes of Bristol and Rotherham. These are not players paid to come and play in wicklow either but locals who returned home

Paul Deering - palyed for leinster about 10 years ago with leinster.
Ray Farrell and Ivan Dunne, two former irish schools and u19's,
Mark Whelan - Leinster Youths,
Colin Finnerty - Irish youths and u19's,
Ivor Scully - leinster and ireland youths and u19 on both!! Played with the leinster A and also once or twice for the first team,
Gearoid O'Grady, one of the finest outhalves I have ever seen, can kick pass run and has a brain which he uses brilliantly, and unfortunately never got a leinster/Ireland trial and still is only 21!!!!! List goes on, I could be here for days!!!!!!
