That's a phenomenally huge score for a final! Any reason why the gap was so large?

Re: Vinnie Murray and Fr Godfrey Cups
with due respect to wesley, if we didn't have them and other 'smaller' schools the competition would be a lot less exciting, so kudos to them for getting to a final, commiserations for the result.

Re: Vinnie Murray and Fr Godfrey Cups
Is not that unusual in a final where once a game get's beyond a winnable point the losing side will fold completely, end result it rarely an accurate reflecon of the actual strengths and weaknesses of the two sides.
Very important that schools like Wesley, DLS Churchtown & St Paul's, Raheny etc don't fall off Schools Rugby radar, as well as newerer schools breaking through of course (especially from outside the metropolitan areas...).

Re: Vinnie Murray and Fr Godfrey Cups
normally wesley would be one of the better league teams. every few years they produce a team capable of doing well in the cup

Im an ex Wesley guy here but i remember CUS havin a pretty good team last year and nearly beating marys on the cup with a team of fourth years nd fifth years. What happened to them in the Vinny Murray. Colombas???
Re: Vinnie Murray and Fr Godfrey Cups
To good for it now are zaga? A cups a cup, and I saw it was the same line up as against Marys in the cup so they obviousely did care about it.simonno6 wrote:they didnt... but still won it.bunty85 wrote:Zaga for the Vinny Murray...best team left if they care about winning it.

yes -they almost did a number on a poor marys side - I don't think they ever recaptured the same form ever againBigBoi wrote:Im an ex Wesley guy here but i remember CUS havin a pretty good team last year and nearly beating marys on the cup with a team of fourth years nd fifth years.
