Match Report Idol

Post by limecat »

Interested in writing match reports and earning the adoration and adulation of your fellow Leinster Rugby supporters? If so, this may not be the job for you.

leinsterfans.com are looking for volunteers to write match reports for the website for both the Magners League and Heineken Cup. It is our intention to keep a list of the upcoming matches and anybody interested in writing a review for that match should put their name next to it by replying on the thread. This will work on a first-come, first-served basis. Initially, can I request that people only volunteer for a single match, so that we can guage interest.

- Match reports should be 500 -> 1,000 words.
- The usual forum rules on WUMming will apply to all match reports.
- At the very latest, match reports should be submitted within 48 hours of the match ending.
- We reserve the right not to publish any submitted match report.

In addition, if there is anybody out there interested in writing similar match reports for womens or underage representative rugby or if anybody is interested in resurrecting the Leinster League reviews that we carried a couple of seasons ago, please feel free to contact me.

I can try the LI match. Don't think I'd be the best person for the Munster game. Plus I can't tape it.

Here's my match report from the Edinburgh match - see if it's up to scratch and if so I'll happily do them all from now on:-

Not available for the two remaining matches listed due to being out of the country but would be more than happy to contribute a few efforts before the end of the season.

Sometimes less is more.

Although it did remind me of the Doonesbury strip where Boopsie reprised her classic lines from her important roles in previous films (such as 2nd girl in shower from Porkies 4) :wink:

Being the pedant that I am, I did notice that Mike Ross, the sub, came on after 53 minutes, for Ross. I think that's pretty impressive...

It's good to see that Josie has taken her role as match reporter very seriously! Are we going to have a contest to see if someone can do a report in fewer than 7 words?!

I'm sure that some match this season will be summed up in the words "sh!t! Bloody ref"

:D You summed it up perfectly Josie !
(Apart from my frustration with that clown Franno in the after match chat. How can he possibly have been paid to watch and "analyse" rugby for the last few years and not know that Fergus McFadden is an excellent place kicker ???) Bah.

By the way are you going for a "most appearances on TV at away games" award - I think I've seen you at all of them so far - good effort !!
