Great win for Tallaght in the Jim Byrne J2 Cup over the Garda to reach the semi finals.
Re: TALLAGHT RUGBY
Because of Increased playing numbers Tallaght are now forming a third team that will play challange matches for the remainder of the season.
This is a perfect opportunity for anyone interested in taking up the game to join a club where everyone is welcome regardless of experience or fitness levels.

Best of luck with this, it has proven a huge success in Longford and has added greatly to the club as a whole.

Re: TALLAGHT RUGBY
If the IRFU have their head screwed on they will make a rock bottom offer for the new all weather pitch Thomas Davis have, directly across the road from Tallaght RFC, would be a massive boost to the club and would represent a good investment by the IRFU
THOMAS Davis are facing up to a bleak financial future after calling their members for an emergency meeting next Monday in an attempt to address their massive debts.
The Tallaght club have written to members, both past and present and invited them to a gathering in order to explain the full extent of their money woes and generate a strategy for recovery.
The exact figures will be revealed next Monday but reports suggest that their debt currently stands at €2m and the club have admitted they are no longer able to make ends meet.
A letter signed by chairman, Andrew O'Donnell, reads:
"Due to significant investment in the club's facilities over the year, the most recent and most expensive being the all-weather pitch, the club debt has increased substantially to a point when the club is no longer in a position to meet its on-going financial commitments."
Officials from the club could not be contacted at the time of going to press.

That would be lovely alright. We've even let Leinster use it when it snows!!

Re: TALLAGHT RUGBY
Are you lads doing that off your own bat? I.e. not under IRFU aegis?
I see you were naughty boys when it came to picking an ineligible player in the Byrne Cup!

I'm not really involved with the tag, so I don't know is the answer. Think it was Bud Tag last year, is that the IRFU thing?

Bud is the IRFU one alrite.
Clonmel organise their own tag, and it works very well, they get way more than if they went with the IRFU or ITRA

Re: TALLAGHT RUGBY
Yeah, you lads were in the IRFU one last year but I know you're not this summer so it's either a DIY job or ITRA.

Spoke to one of the boys and yes, we are doing our own thing this year.combatlogo wrote:Yeah, you lads were in the IRFU one last year but I know you're not this summer so it's either a DIY job or ITRA.
