A long long long way, I reckon Barcelona or Biarritz would be closer!

Quite a few hours drive Shagger (6 or 7 maybe?), and you'll have to get from CDG to train station to get down by rail...

drove it last year to get to Toulouse - was about 6 or 7 hours. The way back is pretty tough.

Right I've booked Carcassone going out Friday at 9.30 back Monday 13.05 for €137 on Ryanair.

Going by Toulouse I reckon it's about a 2 1/2 to 3 hour drive.

Now for the accomodation!!!!!

Will go to Embra and Glaws.

Not going to Agen, but if you're stuck for a route, fly to Stansted and then to Bergerac, which is only 1hr 30 from Agen. Just checked for you and it's £70 return from Stansted going out Fri and back Sun.

Look North-West of Toulouse just outside the coloured zone. It's about 70 miles from Toulouse, I'd assume there's a train if you can't fly direct. The station in Toulouse is about 20 mins walk down the river from De Danu.

The big watery thing beside De Danu was the Canal de Midi

The big watery thing surrounding the stadium was the river

The big Scottish thing typing this note is a pedant

We're flying to Carcassone (Direct with Ryanair for €138)

Sheepshagger has done some research and it should be handy enough to get a bus - train to Toulouse and then onto Agen

The other option is to rent a car of course

And just to correct myself it's the Canal du Midi - watch Rick Stein's French Oddyssey on BBC2 every Monday - it's great!
