Saw the last ten minutes. Amazing finish with a great Newbridge try but then they threw it away trying to play the ball out their half. I thought the ball was over the bar though. It looks bad cause the picture in slow mo of the bar is quite blurry, but I think it was good. Certainly none of the Newbridge kids seemed to be doubting it.

Aye, same, you'd have to assume they'd have been going ape if it wasn't good.

The kick was fairly clearly under the bar. The better team won, but they shouldn't have.

Just watched it there. They look like a bloody machine. Two Byrnes in the front row outstanding again.

The whole Clongowes front row were superb, as was the scrummie mcquade. Leinster academy staff are salivating. Obyrne the tighthead looks an awesome prospect and McQuade could play for Leinster A tomorrow.

Big lad isn't he? Last year Edward Byrne was on the tight side with Frayne on the loose (who also looked a fine player). Now Byrne's gone over to the other side and seems to have no bother. Both the twins have been hitting the gym as well and monitored properly they could have a big future with Leinster.

Can't say I share the love for the Clongowes tighthead. An unstoppable force with ball in hand but his scrummaging was actually terrible (saved by being immensely strong and being up against a looshead whose technique was even worse) and he didn't work very hard either.

They did look very good though. Physically they were just immense. The number 11 was absolutely electric as well, looks a very good prospect. The whole team seemed to have great feet in traffic, they're obviously talented players but that (as well as the offloading and support play) is a sign of good coaching. Very impressive stuff, they'll take some beating.

Sounded like a good game in fairness.

I wonder if Rock will persist with their haughty attitude towards their players being involved with Leinster at under-age level.
