Re: Podcasts
Really enjoyed listening to the BBC desert island discs podcasts. Some fancinating characters and a great insight into some interesting people - David Attenborough , Brian Moore, Stephen Hawking... They have put up a huge back catalogue of them too. Beats listening to those breakfast radio fools on the way to work

Re: Podcasts
A couple of podcasts I listen to religiously are to be found on the nfl website. Rich Eisen is a bigwig amongst journalists covering all matters NFL related. The podcast is highly informative and always delivered in good humour. Dave Dameshek is just a nutcase. I reckon you wouldn't have to have the slightest interest in american football to enjoy his madcap podcasts. The podcast is a 'must hear' any time he has Terence Newman on as a guest/co-host. Anybody listening to "S-Town". From the makers of "Serial" & "This American Life". Two episodes in. Not bad at all.

Haven't listened to podcasts before but "My Dad Wrote a Porno" is hilarious. Listened to it on the train going to and from work, doing my best not to burst out laughing.

BBC rugby union weekly with Ugo Moyne pretty entertaining, less said about BT rugby tonight the better to sum it up "#bants" with Austin Healy, no thanks

Listening to a new slate jam called "Slow Burn". A great 8 part deep dive on the event, the re-election, the public apathy and the lengths the Campaign went to stay in power. So much of which seems eerily relevant today.
"You think you know the story, or maybe you don’t. But Watergate was stranger, wilder, and more exciting than you can imagine. What did it feel like to live through the scandal that brought down President Nixon? Find out on this eight-episode podcast miniseries hosted by Leon Neyfakh.

You can add me to the fan club, it's superb. As the guy says himself, most people's knowledge of Watergate just stems from watching All the President's Men and that's certainly true in my case, the whole thing is fascinating though. Never heard of the guy who did this before, hope he turns his attention to other historical events after this.
Re: Podcasts
Listening to Jon Ronson's Butterfly Effect. 3 episodes in and its really interesting. Typically quirky topic he's selected but its interesting. Its an 8 episode documentary on the effect of the internet on the porn industry.
Malcolm Gladwells Revisionist History is also another interesting one.
As for Rugby Podcasts. I would listen to Joe.ie's (Hard Yards), Lukes (The Left Wing), Off the ball (Monday and Wednesday), and have recently started to listen to Flats and Shanks.

99 Percent Invisible is my favourite out there. 300+ episodes about architecture and design. Design is a really broad subject here, it can be the design of things related to music, buildings, towns, computer games, films, sports, pretty much anything.
