Down to the final four.
Red Sox / Tigers.
Cardinals / Dodgers.

Hoping for a Cardinals / Sox world series... revenge for 2004

exciting game 2 in the sox-tigers series. The David Ortiz post season legend continues. Two out in the 8th, 4 runs down and the man whose name is synonymous with clutch in boston does it again

Big win for the Dodgers this morning. Struggled to close it out but at least we go on. Hope they beat St. Louis but can't see it. First time in 30 years or so the LAD had 4 jacks in a post season game.

Tigers changed their line up and Jake Peavy got absolutely destroyed for Boston in Detroit last night, giving up 7 runs on 5 hits. Series tied at 2-2.

You guys only watch the Majors?

Masahiro Tanaka, 24, is a starting pitcher for the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles in the NPB. He has applied for international free agency and will most likely sign for NYY when the Japanese play-offs are done.

He won again last night (2-0) over Chibu Lotte in the NPB play-offs. Tanaka is 25-0 for the season having posted an unbelievable 1.27 ERA in the Japanese regular season. He won his last 4 games of 2012 season too, so he hasn't lost since August 2012.

Against Chibu yesterday, he pitched a CGSHO - 9 innings, 7 hits, 1 BB, 9K. He was nearly taken over the fence twice in the 8th but survived. He was throwing 93 MPH strikes in the 9th inning.

This guy is awesome.

A starting pitcher is about the only thing my Mariners don't need. If, on the other hand, you have a 1B, DH, 2.5 outfielders and an entire bullpen in Japan please send them to the Pacific northwest!
Caveats apply as it is entirely possible that the information contained in the above post is either an attempt at a wind-up, an attempt at a joke or just plain wrong.

This guy will be heading to the MLB definitely this winter. Oh Seung-Hwan is the closer for the Samsung Lions baseball club. Last night, the KBO's championship series got under way. Oh's Lions are going for 3-in-a-row. It's their fourth Finals in a row. He's by a long way the best closer in the Korean leagues.

The NY Post says the Yankees are looking at him. Get in there while you can

http://nypost.com/2013/10/23/yankees-in ... f-pitcher/

In the regular season, he posted a 1.74ERA in 48 games (4 wins, 1 loss and 28 saves). His lines were just as impressive in 2012 (50 games, 1.94ERA, 2-1-37) and 2011 (54 games, 0.64ERA, 1-0-47).

1-1 after first two games in Boston.
I'm happy to be heading back to St Louis tied up.

2-2 after 4. Teams are evenly matched. Cardinals batter not caught fire yet but they have superior pitching.

3-2 Sox. Moving to Boston now it looks like they will be the winners but hope not lost yet. Wacha pitches tomorrow night so I think we can force a game 7 if they can get some offence going.

KIA's Yoon Seok-min is being linked with Minnesota this winter.

http://fansided.com/2013/10/16/minnesot ... -min-yoon/

Unfortunately for Twins' fans, Koreans incorrectly spell the sound of his first name in English so the joke on Twitter is Suk-Minn (as opposed to Seok-min). Get it?

Looks like the MLB is changing the posting system for NPB players, if anyone is interested.

Anyone else watching this?

St. Louis are being swept aside. Still a long way to go (bottom of the 4th) but at 5-0 it looks pretty sh!t for the Cardinals.

Far too many walks. Little league sh!t.

Ah... they go a lot deeper into October than they used to for the few summers I was there.
