All STH have to register, by Tuesday, through their ST accounts to request a ticket. Assume an allocation will be worked out from that, (bit like a ballot). STH won't know to Wednesday Midday if they will get a password that will allow them to buy a ticket. Glasgow fans will have to go through the same process, I imagine. Would think that all STH should get a ticket seeing as Glasgow will not bring over 9,000 supporters. (They are entitled to 50%). Thursday onwards will give a clearer indications of what spares are available.

(Some people may not have accessed their e-mails, and may not be aware of the process they need to go through to, to attempt to obtain a ticket).

I just tried to buy an extra ticket in the pre-sale for STHs that started today at 12 noon but my promotional code is being rejected.Does that mean that all available tickets are gone and that there won't in all likelihood be any for the proposed public sale from Friday?

No and no.

My code still works. There are tickets in north and south stands.

Glasgow presale ends at noon tomorrow and public sale starts at 13:00 I would imagine there will be about 6 several 000 more tickets then.
