Very sad to hear he's passed. Was an absolute top rate broadcaster and true master of the presenter role. Happy to play the fool and throw in the odd hand grenade and let the pundits do their thing.

Ah no! I've only ever heard nice things about him and he was a fantastic broadcaster. I don't usually care about celebrity deaths but this has got to me.

edit: any news on the cause? was he ill or is this very sudden?
