Guinness Pro12 Final - Edinburgh 2016

Post by footrush »

Have decided to go to this regardless, ofcourse would prefer if we are in it but then again a weekend in Edinburgh at the end of May can't be bad no matter who makes the final ?. Interesting accommodation options are limited enough is there something else on in the city that weekend ?.

Yup it's the Edinburgh marathon weekend.

Weegieland isn't that far away if accommodation is a problem. Train is about £14 return.

Got somewhere to stay thanks for the info, may give the Marathon a skip though ?.

Sounds similar to the HC Final in 2009. That was a bank holiday and the marathon was on which resulted in very little accommodation being available.

That would very much be an option if someone hasn't secured accomodation in Edinburgh already as the city is almost booked up that weekend.

For 14 quid return on the train it sounds sensible. When is the last train (to Clarksville) on Saturday night?

Usually half 11. Think there are hourly buses throughout the night as well.

Buses direct from Murrayfield to Glasgow Buchanan Street. Cheaper than the train as well.

Booked it and got accom in Embra for 50 bucks with breakfast. Splashed out and got the 22:30 flight home on Sunday for 35 juros all in.

Cancelable if we decide to stay in Glasgow.

If the place you got was Pollock Hall that's a really useful place to stay Johng , stayed their for the foot and mouth international years ago part of the University residence but the students will have gone by that stage, time I stayed there really liked the place, has its own grounds.

I stayed there myself previously and had no complaints. Buffet breakfast with all you could eat, so you won't go hungry.

Booked ryanair return flights to Glasgow leaving Friday afternoon and returning Sunday afternoon for €46. Only a few seats left at this price though. Tickets for the final are on sale on english ticketmaster site.

Have tickets for E7 Row A really pleased with that you need to be near the pitch at Murrayfield. Really looking forward to the weekend away, was at the final last year and really enjoyed it, starting to be a regular event for me no matter where it is played and who is in it, perfect time of the year for a break.

We're in E9 row B and we're doing it as a day trip - the tram running from outside Murrayfield to the airport makes it really easy (flights cost €45 each)
