Vote Deegan vote often!
Ruddock's tackle stats consistently too low for me to be taken seriously as a Six Nations blindside..... Ruddock's defensive stats don't stack up. - All Blacks Nil, Jan 15th, 2014
England A 8 - 14 Ireland A, 25th Jan 2014
Ruddock(c) 19/2 Tackles

Nominations for Player of the Tournament:

Japanese Winger / Out Half: Moeakiola
South African Full-back: Bosch
England Out-half: Mallinder
NZ Winger: Stevenson
Ireland No 8: Max Deegan

Four backs and one forward is a fairly biased selection. Ryan or Porter could also have been nominated on the basis of the quality of their performances.

Haven't seen the Japanese guy and only saw the South African against England (assuming that him, didn't pay attention to the names) but Deegan is the best of the others that I've seen. Porter and Gallagher were just as good as him IMO, if not better. Obviously Gallagher has played less though.

They have comprehensively out-thought us tactically. We need radical revision, possibly by pushing Jones & Clifford wide to wings an attackin them wide rather than narrow through the middle where they have double-teamed in defence and smashed us backwards. Everything has gone for them but we will have a spell and we must take those chances when we create them.

Diagonal chips wide will yield more that Garryowens but we need some breaks!

Wonder when will refs notice that their and England senior team's scrum dominance is based on the back 5 of the pack stepping to the left and driving on one side of the scrum
...a beautiful weighted pass...it is 3 on 2...it is 3 on 1...Hickie!...Magnificent!

Out-thought, out-played but not out-fought as we kept at it till the end. But England will now probably win Euro 2016. What a week for the real England!

Didnt get to see much but to be optimistic England have a huge advantage at this level but our side will produce more full internationals

The Munster 10 was a huge loss but they still made the final, which was only game they lost, and beat Argentina, Wales, and NEW ZEALAND on the way

And all the talk going into the tournament was they had no backline

They made our life hell today. Pushed their linespeed to the absolute limit and stopped the carrying game. Also they then jackled well - were needing 3 to shift off the ball. Not to be, but looking forward to seeing more of these lads.

They jackaled outstandingly but I thought quite illegally at times - the referee had no interest in reffing "supporting own bodyweight"...
