Racing-Munster postponed game

Post by brenno »

We have to move on at some stage so am wondering where the postponed Racing-Munster game can be squeezed into what's alreadtvavvery tight schedule for both teams. Virtually every if not all weekends ahead already have scheduled ERCC, Pro12 and Top14 games, so are they going to have to play midweek at some stage. Not ideal, but are there any other options?

All group games have to be played before the final one (if that makes sense).

Last year Glasgow rearranged a pro12 game to get the rearranged one v Racing played.

Likely something similar this year?

My money is on them playing it the week before the scheduled round 5 matches (weekend of 8/9 Jan). Munster will have to reschedule their Pro12 match with Edinburgh from that weekend. That can be played on one of the free weekends in the 6N. Racing have a home game against Bayonne that can be rescheduled for during the 6N too.

Obviously the death of Axel is an absolute tragedy but it did create a more adventagious situation for Munster. I think they were in for a dicking against Racing and they would have had to go back to TP to play and inform Glasgow after being beaten heavily in front of a less than full stadium.
