we saw what Payne could do and we played much more attacking/sexy rugby missing 15 or so players, away from home, end of long season, back to back tests, altitude, world cup year, cant buy red lemonade there, man sent off, they shouldve had a man sent off, missed their mammies etc etc
and that Bok team got a lot better once they went Lions heavy

Getting back to the original post, what would you think if I said this year's budget is not yet sorted out and the million euros to each province was a bit of journalistic waffle.

If true and I have no reason to suspect otherwise it is a diabolical situation that provinces don't know how much they have in the pot for contracts as it is that time of year for negotiations to begin.

It's one thing to cut the budget- assuming for next season- but to do so after making a big play about saving the provincial skins earlier in the year is callous.
Is this legal, particularly after the IRFU announced figures for each province?

And when you take into account they are one of the lowest funded sides it makes the difference even worse.
We will never match or even get anywhere near their TV deals, in fact entire PRO12 TV money is probably not much more than one PRL Club get !
