Hadn't heard about this elsewhere so I thought I'd put it in here. I thought his return was imminent. Doesn't look like it now

"Ahead of a block of Munster, Ulster and Zebre matches all within an 11-day stretch though, Cullen’s back-line is already being stretched. Dave Kearney and Joey Carbery both had surgery last week that will leave them sidelined for six weeks, Rob Kearney could be missing for half that time and Jonathan Sexton is still ‘we’ll see’ or ‘day-to-day’."

Harsh luck for DK, the updates on him seemed unclear/at a loss

Apparently DK was due back a few weeks ago but had a setback. Ferg due back soon too.

Jaysus. So we have 1 fit outhalf and 4 fit back three players (Isa, Kirchner, Byrne and Barry Daly), of which one is first back-up at outhalf.
On the other hand, we seem to have 5 fit centres (Henshaw, Ringrose, Reid, Tom Daly and O'Loughlin), of which one is covering back three and another outhalf: what a turnaround for our squad!

Even if we get Ferg back, we are going to be relying on a small pool of players to play a lot of game time between now and the end of the 6 Nations.

Poor Dave Kearney. That guy is almost at Fitzgerald levels in the "can't catch a break" stakes.

Got to the stadium early and saw the squad lads not playing having a little get together on the side of the pitch.

Joey was minimal weight bearing on 2 crutches.

Dave K was in a moon boot and seemed moderately reliant on 1 crutch.

Jordi heavily reliant on a single crutch (no surprises there)

Ross walking unaided and with no trace of a limp.

McFadden walking unaided and with no trace of a limp
He's gotten awfully fond of that brick

Sexton will be back for the Ulster game according to Lancaster.
RK injury seems worse than first announced though.

Leo said he'd be back for the festive period. I'd say he could start in Thomond as he's on pitch this week, but with the internationals likely out anyway (and him probably in camp this week too) it's probably better to give him some more rest and strengthen the leg further.

I can't remember tbh but just know he was due back and had a setback which led to the op.

Yes. There was but a touch of irony in my post.

Sean Cronin out for 8-12 weeks according to reports today. Would put him touch and go for a possible European QF.

So Strauss / Treacy selection and bench. Who do we go to after that? Is it McNulty from Academy or revert to Church Healy, as we had to consider five years ago in the midst of Jackman / Fogarty / Blaney injury crisis.
