Bit of BT Sport hype on the first one. He was blocking what looked like it would be a grubber kick by Owen Williams and he raised his boot on the stretch and blocked the ball as it came off the boot of Williams. He is a talented player but let's not go down the road of BT Sports "hype" or exaggeration.

Will Pat Lam get a shot at the Premiership straight away when he moves to Bristol? Their second win in succession and their first away win since 2008. Worcester spoiled the party a little bit by beating Quins to stay ahead of Bristol but it is becoming a three horse race at the bottom with Sale, Worcester and Bristol now in competition for relegation.

At the other end, Sarries tenure at the top was ended by Wasps getting a bonus point victory and Sarries were lucky enough (skilled enough?) to see off Tigers at Welford Road. However, they certainly don't look unbeatable, from a European perspective. Wasps ascent to the top gives great encouragement to Irish teams who watched Connacht give them a lesson in how to finish a game in the Showgrounds. Not too much to fear in the Premiership at present.

the way wages have gone only really Sarries, Wasps, and maybe Bath can afford to retain all their top players, the rest of the clubs are cannibalising each other and eg leicester lose the likes of Waldrom and Parling that could make a difference between group stages and knockouts to Exeter

Wouldn't be a fan but their Board are mad if they think somebody else will do better without a stupid chequebook. Cockers has maintained Leicester as a really tough nut to beat at home and fairly decent on the road and almost always in the play-offs.

Getting rid of him at this point in the Season looks like character assasination and he'll find it difficult to convince anybody in England that he isn't still a Tiger at heart.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him in Galway at some point. Knows his rugby, understands reality of budgets and well used to coaching with a chip on his shoulder.

It's hardly a small budget though. JP, Manu, Toomua don't come cheap. I'd say it's not on the level of Sarries or Bath, but it looks significant.

I agree though that he'll find it tough to get another role in England. He's Tigers through and through.

would affect youth interest, not to same extent as in Wales though, maybe there was a different reason for drop off in crowds

anytime I'd watch Leicetser play 2 or 3 years ago the ground was always full, most games I see now its far from it

The comments on the BBC suggest it was a mismatch between Mauger's more expansive plan and Cockers traditional forward dominated approach. Mauger now has the top spot. Any odds on him getting the job full-time??
