Yes I'd be delighted with missing out on earnings for the past 10 years based on the prospect of earning in the coming ten years, that way I can realise 50% of my value, or if I'm lucky less than 50% of my value.

That was the point I was trying to get to. The money is gone, any new deal now would have had to happen anyway.

Well we won't have to fear a power cut because JohnG will always have a spare battery for it in his pocket, will tell us all how great it is to be able to carry around a spare battery for it, how crappy stadia without spare batteries are, then when its needed same battery will, inevitably, be flatter than Keira Knightley.

Hopefully they can generate a good atmosphere at the new stadium. I always found too many people here turned their noses up at manufactured noise, instead preferring endless renditions of LEINSTERRRR LEINSTERRRRR LEINSTERRRR and the cringeworthy Allez les Bleus. Anyone know when the RDS redevelopment is actually going to start construction? Also, is work only being done on the Anglesea Stand or is anything else happening?

This time 12 months it is due to start but only if we get world cup and government kick in with their grant. No problem if we get World Cup will be a problem if we don't. I would say we are 80% likely to see work go ahead after this season but who knows!!

Has it been out to contract yet ? Building costs are up substantially as materials, mostly steel have risen dramatically over the last 6 months.

About 10 years overdue now. The tenant attracting the funds so the landlord can build the house.

On the plus side, sounds like Anglesea stand is phase one of a bigger project the RDS intend to cash in on.
