Re: Ireland v. England
Farces has had his mind made up on the scrum before the match. England traditionally stronger so if the scrum collapses it can't be their fault in his mind.

The bench has to be used. Some tired legs out there.

Re: Ireland v. England
Great to win that game. Great team performance.
The importance of having 3 line-out options was shown today, and POM's value as a defensive jumper was very evident.
Hopefully Joe will learn from his selection errors, and we see a big improvement for next season.

Some things in no particular order..
Marmion proved today he can do it at the top level.
Conway is a real option going forward.
Ringrose's best game in green?
Luke's box kick near the end was a thing of raw beauty.
Henderson could be a fixture from now.
Henshaw is a monster in the tackle.
Sexy is one of the greatest battlers I've ever seen.
Backrow selection headaches forever!
I've missed loads.. what else?

Anyone seen D'Arse's garb on ITV now? Soft Cell circa '81...

Henshaw put in a solid shift, poor Tagdh was crawling off the pitch needed to be replaced sooner. And the sooner scannell is trusted to play 40 mins plus the better. His throw is a thing of beauty.
Re: Ireland v. England
RTE gave a run through of try highlights.
But 50% of it was opposition tries.
Good riddance.

Luke McGrath's kick - a young fella with balls of steel.

CJ, Jamie won't be having any sleepless nights.
Murray, might have a few sleepless nights.
Ringrose plenty of sleepless nights ahead - for the opposition that is.
Leavy nice to get a decent run - seemless introduction.
Time for a glass of whiskey!

Re: Ireland v. England
I suspect Heaslip wasn't injured at all and the plan was always to "rotate" the backrow.
Re: Ireland v. England
Agreed, Ryan was special today.
CJ was good but he's no Heaslip... yet.
Theory time.. Ireland have long had 'settled' teams which is great for consistency but can possibly cause staleness. In my opinion the only nailed on starts should be the captain and pivot.. maybe one other. Should Joe adopt a rotation policy? We have the depth now, players get time, nobody is guaranteed a spot and forced to play for it each week. Surely there's enough players in each training squad to know the system by now.
