Aprez Match of the Day.

Post by Oldschool »

Brilliant.
They "showed" the Drico Hat-trick match, France v Ireland when he announced his arrival on the world stage.
What a match, what a player.
Mirror, Mirror on the Wall who's the greatest player of them all? It is Drico your majesty.

Does anyone have that match on DVD? I'd love to see the full game again.

Awesome Hickie tackle on (Del Maso?) who was going to score under the sticks....one of many great memories from that day.
We all dream of a team of Sean O'Briens......

And great work from BOD to get the ball off him before the line.

BOD probably got MOM and deservedly but Hickie was awesome that day.
TBH I don't think we've had a winger as good as him, play for Ireland since.
Shane Horgan and Tommy Bowe would be only two that could come close.

Great recovery in his career after the carnage done by Terblance on the South Africa tour in '98.(first test?) I've fond memories of a beligerent Paddy Johns on that tour as well....Jesus we've come a long way since then.

It was a different game back then! Not a yellow card in site. Espically like our tactic of bringing on Brennan and the Claw to calm things down!
