I guess it is just a mistake but maybe they are changing the stadium because of the soccer game

Or Saturday at Lyon with Sunday Aviva
Anyone know how many tickets we'll be allocated. Apparently the Stade de Gerland has just 25k capacity. Seems v small for a Euro SF?
Gerland is apparently due to be modernised to a lower capacity stadium with work starting in June
Present capacity seems to be about 40,000 so there will be no problem with tickets for us
That is if the match ends up there

It seems likely that the delay and confusion is caused by the French and English broadcasters fighting over the day of the match and add to that that Lyon Monaco is on Sunday night together with the complication of the Election the police may not want another event in Lyon on Sunday

Gerland is old soccer stadium 25,000 when LYON rugby play there - they dont open parts behind the try line but when you open up the two ends it goes up to 39,000

The Soccer match against Monaco is on in new stadium in Decines to north of the city about 10 to 15km frm Gerland and its at 9:00pm The French love their late night kickoffs for sunday night TV.

No reason both could not be on on same day. Like a match in Croke park and Aviva.

If it was an issue - you'd think that might have been factored in before nominating the venue :?

EPCR have now put Gerland back up as the venue but still no word on date
From looking at the Clermont Fan Forum they think that 18.30 on Saturday is an option but they are only guessing as well

It really is remarkable that EPC Rugby have such issues in confirming dates and kick-off times. Even including the Challenge Cup they only have to confirm four fixtures. How hard can that be?

Its all about TV. we are bottom of the list of priorities. If they could run the event in an empty stadium with fake fans noise over the PA they would!

Same as L'Equipe quoted - suspect these guys are reading it from there and re-publishing

Our match is now the 22nd (Saturday) on the EPC site. The Munster match is the 22/23. There is no time for either match.

Hi lads. Welcome back.

Do you know how many Leinsterfans will be in Lyon?

Anyway, it will be sold out.

check out flight to Paris CDG and get the wonderful TGV train which goes from the airport to the centre of Lyon. Did it a few years ago and it was great value and it worked really well

Cant find anything good value at all

Looking to travel Saturday Morning until monday evening,

DUB -> CDG is €232 and the TGV is €146 on top of that

Ryanair flights are €350 Rtn direct, but leave pretty much straight after the game

Anyone having more luck than me?

Booked the Killester day trip.
Dear enough as usual at € 365 but at least no messing around and no added costs for taxis, trains, etc

British Airways - out Sat back Mon through Heathrow is €370 pp.

I'll have a look at point to point with the budget airlines - a little harder to find and sometimes you have to go through odd places to get cheap prices - recall the cheapest to Bordeaux was through Madrid or something

For the adventurous amongst us (not guaranteed the best price but as good as I could find);

Sat : Dublin to Manchester @ 6.30am Ryanair = €84
Sat : Manchester to Lyon @ 11.25 Easyjet = £23

Mon : Lyon to Birmingham @ 16.15 Flybe = €109
Mon : Birmingham to Dublin @ 19.10 (or 20.25) = £17

All in - given currencies etc - that's about €260 for a Sat to Mon

Try via Frankfurt with Lufthansa. Was in the €250-€275 range yesterday evening. www.skyscanner.ie is great for finding options.
