U19s lost 44 - 15.

Match is up on dailymotion.

I only saw bits but Ireland looked poor as a unit. The French were big for U20 standards never mind U19. They tried to go around Ireland for the first 20 min but after that the realised they could just run through the Ireland defence at will.

The Irish lineout was a bit of a shambles too, which made things more difficult. The scrums were also under pressure throughout.

Individually some Ireland players played well. David McCarthy was the pick of the backs along with Sylvester. I missed most of the second half but Max Kearney looked good off the bench.

The players will learn from the loss and the coaches should also learn some lessons.
