It was weird though when he signed a one-year and the others committed to two years. Maybe he'll be off after the 2017-18 season?

The scuttlebut here was he was a placeholder for Isa

On plus side, if he does go its a fairly enticing job right now so if we wanted an external replacement it would be easy to find one

The Midi report was the original source of the story, came out on Sunday evening.

The internet has ruined many things. How dare it attack the timeless democratic institution of coffee, croissant and MO.

Would be really surprised if he went, having signed a Contract with Leinster. Just doesn't seem like Girve style. On the other hand he would be joining Jeremy Davidson who's coming in from Aurillec as Forwards Coach and Joe Worsley ex-Wasps and England as Defence Coach. Jacques Brunel is to be Head Coach in succession to Ralf Ibanez who leaves after 3 years in charge.

Bordeaux Begles have a very wealthy owner and a Hong Kong investment company as financiers and play in front of the largest average crowds in Top 14. So, money is not the problem, only lack of success.

ROC in th INDO

Leinster expect Girvan Dempsey to be part of their backroom team next season despite reports in France that the former Ireland full-back is being lined up by Bordeaux Begles as a replacement for their departing backs coach Emile Ntamack.

It is understood that the assistant coach has agreed to remain with his home province for at least another season, although official confirmation of the renewal of the management team's contracts has yet to be released.

Midi Olimpique yesterday reported that the Top 14 side had spoken to the 41-year-old about a potential move to the club where ex-Ireland second-row Jeremy Davidson will be forwards coach next season.

A former head of Leinster's Academy, Dempsey has been part of Leo Cullen's backroom team for the past two seasons.

With Stuart Lancaster taking on the role of senior coach, his role has changed this year but he is set to gain additional experience working under Joe Schmidt during next month's summer tour.

Leinster are expected to issue a release on the future of their management team in the coming days and it is expected they will remain in situ after overseeing their return to the European semi-finals this year.

Murray Kinsella saying that Bordeaux have signed Rory Teague up as their backs' coach so Girv obviously ain't going there anyway.
