Ringrose Injury

Post by Ruckedtobits »

Gary Ringrose and Henshaw likely to miss European Cup games apparently, both with shoulder injuries.

The cost to Leinster of representative honours continues to escalate as Gary Ringrose is reported today to have had shoulder surgery which could keep him out of our European Cup games before Christmas.

So, at a minimum we lose our starting centres. what next SO'B and J10?

Big cost for Leinster.

Reports were he picked up the injury in the Pro12 but played on in the tour to Japan and is getting surgery now in the off season so it would not be worse next season.

Because he can heal on Leinster's time.

It's getting to the stage that your best chance to see our stars in a Leinster jersey is at the kids summer camps.

Its one RTE reporter on twitter saying he heard it. Hopefully the Christmas part is exaggerated

IF Henshaw and Ringrose are both out of the first 4 rounds of Europe we should be allowed an NIQ medical joker. We probably wont though even if hes South Africa

Our injury list is so bad that I could see Munster being allowed to sign another foreigner.

Reid and ROL is fine by me but there's very little depth really. I seem to say this every year but Ferg should come back into midfield IMO. Doesn't have the wheels for the wing anymore and would give us more physicality. I've never been Daly's biggest fan but presume he'll get more time now and it's make or break for him really.

Reid & ROL in Europe fills me with dread, too small a midfield

Update: bad news is Indo confirming hes out for at least 3 months and it was injured pre Japan, good news its July so he could be back mid October if we're being optimistic

Indo story: http://www.independent.ie/sport/rugby/g ... 13283.html

If he's back in Oct that wouldn't be too bad, probably wouldn't be back sooner than that anyway if fit.

Imagine the OUTRAGE if Ringrose had been called up for the Lions with a pre-existing injury

It would certainly help Noel Reid in covering 10,12 & 13.

That would tie in with what Dave said about him recovering on Leinster time. I'd have thought Joe would want him to be fit for the European games and November more so than Japan so taking him to Japan and knowing he'd still make it back for November would make sense. Fingers crossed anyway.

:!:

Maybe Ringrose delayed the operation (and played) in case he was needed somewhere other than Japan or the USA...somewhere with long white clouds

So even when they don't pick our players they still manage to f8\% them up? I'm not even mad, in fact I'm impressed!
Ruddock's tackle stats consistently too low for me to be taken seriously as a Six Nations blindside..... Ruddock's defensive stats don't stack up. - All Blacks Nil, Jan 15th, 2014
England A 8 - 14 Ireland A, 25th Jan 2014
