Rumplestilskin will come a knockin for that
someone did try to break into my neighbours house today...but the telly went last week to my ma's house in Tallaght where it's safe :?

ribaldry aside Irish people are quite below average for switching mobile, energy, telecoms etc; Eir have most of the next world cup too so if you dont mind the dish and maybe a cable going over your roof sky tv is pretty good, hopefully too when break the channells down to being sport specific we can just subscribe to the ones that do rugby

Sky are supposed to be changing all their packages in the UK, sport will have a general channel and then others dedicated to individual sports and you can have a full subscription or just parts of it so don't rush into anything

In theory cheaper as you can cherry pick which ones you want to pay for. They are losing punters, need to cut the subscription costs. The new channels are:

Premier League, Other Football, Golf, Cricket, F1 and other sports will be shown on Action & Arena.

The adds say it's £18 for one, £22 for 2, £26 for 3 or the whole lot for £27.50.

Cheers Rooster

My paranoid senses tell me that that might be UK only at least for first while, on average the rugby is probably a bigger deal in Ireland and then theres the GAA on top of that, so theyd want the Rugby and GAA on same channels here

That fits in with the all the rest category which now has rugby in there

Seems Sky have been shedding viewers like they're going out of fashion.

Great, I'm looking forward to ditching Sky Sports package. I only kept it because of the Pro12 and GAA, and I don't think I ever watched a soccer game in 10 years. When they lose the European Games I may jump ship depending on whether I can haggle the £18/month down.

As you said rugby has a relatively high demand here, can't see them including rugby and GAA on the one channel. I wonder how much the programming will change to suit the channels? The "other sports" will likely have less production funding available as they can pack out the space between main events with feeds from cycling, darts, curling, shooting, skiing, rowing, bowling, ice hockey or anything else.

Look up about three posts before this one.

At the moment its about £50 or so with the general bundle (no-one knows how much the regular cost is since everyone haggles when their contract ends). When they move to specific channels it is mooted to drop to £18 for one option and incrementing upwards

But the options are soccer, soccer other, cricket, f1 and everything else as far as I know. They dont have sufficient subscribers to run rugby and gaa on the different channels I would imagine.

Calm down, I'm on tour at present but will be phoning Sky in 2 weeks to renegotiate my package and will let you know then the rugby options from up here, we have GAA blocked on Sky for some matches as it is BBC rights on some, then again we are more frequently getting the international rugby blocked as well as we don't appear to be part of IRFU thoughts either when broadcast rights are being sold.
Even watching on web through RTE etc is a nightmare as we get geoblocking depending on provider and even sub division of provider, eg BT residential can let us access RTE but business contracts with fixed IP are all classed as living in Milton Keynes!

Best possible order for us that I could think of. Exeter away on Sunday is not great for travelling support but other than that it's fine
I like your right leg. A lovely leg for the role.
I've got nothing against your right leg.
The trouble is ... neither have you

It's 40 Euros plus the main package which is a minimum of 25 before you get into HD or Multiroom
