This doesn't have much to do with this years academy, but highlight tape of St. Michael's JCT team this year who will almost certainly produce multiple academy players down the line. Needless to say some of the skill on show is incredible for their age.

Honestly that felt almost unfair to all the team's they played, nothing insulting for those team's but some of that stuff shown at such a young age is quite frightening. What age would they be? Im not quite sure but they do look very young, im guessing 16-17?mildlyinterested wrote:This doesn't have much to do with this years academy, but highlight tape of St. Michael's JCT team this year who will almost certainly produce multiple academy players down the line. More like 14-15. The handling skills especially are so impressive.Cathalsmart wrote:Honestly that felt almost unfair to all the team's they played, nothing insulting for those team's but some of that stuff shown at such a young age is quite frightening. basics are very impressive, runnibg straighy, drawing the man, passing at speed out in front, running lines etc.scentofgunpowder wrote:More like 14-15. The individual skills are all very very impressive. Just as impressive is the structure and shape they're playing with. They must be incredibly well coached

Amazing. Have to doff my hat. The guts and panache of that left winger or full back to keep the ball from going out, recover it and boot it back to half way. Fair play to all of them. Beautiful skills and fab organisation.

Interestingly Conor Dean was named as an academy player today at a leinster camp, he attended along with Caelan Doris & Ronan Kelleher.

What has happened to David O'Connor? Has he been summarily dumped by Leinster? I wonder will Ulster go after him given the success they've had with his brother Alan.
Rugby is a good occasion for keeping thirty bullies far from the centre of the city.

He left the academy, too undersized for a professional second row.rdsblue wrote:What has happened to David O'Connor? Has he been summarily dumped by Leinster? I wonder will Ulster go after him given the success they've had with his brother Alan.
Not sure if he is playing pro rugby next season.

Have heard he is no longer going down the pro rugby route
He's gotten awfully fond of that brick
