Seems so alright. Though to be fair it isn't a hostile takeover designed as a power grab by some of the clubs in the competition. The ability to arrange and negotiate honestly does wonders for organisational preparations.

Squad strength throughout the league has remained quite decent despite the money on offer in the prem and top14 yep the scots and Welsh have had issues and the Italians too but of a different kind but there's been no major flight of the wild geese type scenarios which has to be commended

True, and the coaching tickets for some of the clubs are of a higher profile than previously. Cockers at edinburgh, Keane at connacht, bradley at zebre, jackman at dragons, gibbs at ulster, lancaster here, rennie at glasgow. Impressive.

Was going to post on this but you beat me to it - whilst some excellent players have come into the Pro12 over the close season, the coaching lineup is what is really exciting

Orange free state. Not 3 words you would normally put together in Ulster.

That also means that Ulster will have Ospreys, Glasgow, Treviso Cardiff either 2 home 2 away or 1 home 3 away.

I dunno, it hasn't been the Orange Free State for over 20 years and they do live in the past so...

So can you only accumulate points within your conference or are points given for the 7 games against the other conference (and the bonus league derby games)?

One out of conference game for us v Cardiff.

Means we will be 2 home & 2 away against Glasgow, Ospreys, Zebre, Cheetahs.

Hoping for Ospreys & Glasgow at home.

Edit. Sorry. For some reason I read cardiff as an away game.

We will be 3 away and 1 home v those teams

How is the pro14 move for the SA teams going to affect current and potential sponsors for the teams? Do they struggle for local sponsorship due to the decrease in SA exposure? Or become a more attractive proposition to international brands with a foothold/interest in Europe?

Any journo I've heard talking about it say that there is a lot of interest in SA - that these 2 aren't the only teams interested and that the supporters are actually very positive about it. The games will be watchable unlike the current comp.

Over time - I suspect there could be potential for increasing sponsorship and TV revenue - assuming the comp is engaging
I like your right leg. A lovely leg for the role.
I've got nothing against your right leg.
The trouble is ... neither have you

I would say one of the things that's killing super rugby is the different timezones. It was never talked about much in the past because everything else more than made up for it but with the overall product after declining so much, it's now a big issue.

I'd imagine the TV audiences will be good unless the kings and cheetahs do a Treviso/Zebre impression. There's also a big community of South Africans in Europe who might tune in.

Very odd fixtures. Glasgow only have 3 home games in 2018. Also what happened to all games in SA will be on a Saturday?
