As a loosehead presumably? Makes sense given how injury prone Ed Byrne is. Porter got quite a lot of gametime as fourth choice loosehead last season before he switched.

Anyone else hearing the rumour that he left super rugby because he despised travelling to and spending time in SA?

Abdaladze is in the academy? Happy to see hair true, good player and would be a waste to leave him rot.

Could be looking at some sub-academy players playing for the 'A' team in the B&I Cup as bench loosehead and at lock?

From a personal pov that is awful for TOD.

From a Leinster pov we are down to Reid and O'Loughlin and the Academy in the centre.

Could be a big break for one of the academy lads.

With Ringrose, Henshaw and Lowe missing until at least October we are a bit under the kosh before a ball has been kicked in anger.

No offence to Daly but I wouldn't rate him much higher than the other centres in the academy plus they have a much higher ceiling.
