The rumour has resurfaced recently. No idea if it is because of new information or people recycling the same rumour. I know nothing about the guy just said I'd mention it.

There is also a rumour that ex-Connacht player Ciaran Gaffney is going to sign for Zebre. It might happen because of the Bradley connection.

Tiernan O'Hallorans reported comments in the Indo today are pretty directly critical of Pat Lam.

Connacht beat Bristol 24 to 14 in Sportsground yesterday

Except for benching 2 backrowers it looked a full strength Bristol side

Going by TOH interview they seem excited about being able to kick to clear the odd time and playing less structured in attack

Really hope they kick on

Obviously got his legal stuff sorted. Don't know a lot about him so will be interested to see how he goes.

Connacht were awful tonight. Knocking on all night long and with no penetration in attack. Scrum improved after dreadful start but lineout never did. They did not deserve that bonus point.

Glasgow, in contrast, were very professional in playing the conditions. 2 well executed tries.

Former Connacht player Ciaran Gaffney has signed for Zebre and played in the first game against Ospreys. Seems to have being one of the stand-outs for Zebre too.

Connacht released their Year 1 Academy at last. Stand outs would be Jordan Conroy the Ireland 7's player and of course NIQ signing Harley Fox.

Paul Boyle - Back row
Matthew Burke - Prop
Luke Carty - Out-half
Jordan Conroy - Back three
Colm de Buitléar - Back three
Ryan Feehily - Scrum-half
Sean Masterson - Back row
Kieran Joyce - Centre
Harley Fox - Back Row

Conroy is 23. A bit old to be joining the academy but they might fast track him.

Interesting that most players are Connacht based. I would assumed that most players would have missed out on other academies.
