Cheika won't survive this. They'll say that the blame is all with him, which is bollix.

Aus defence was garbage. Even really good tacklers like McMahon missing loads. Kerevi at 13 hardly tried.

Not sure how they measured it, but one half time statistic I saw was 37 missed Australian tackles. You havent a hope if you cant tackle.

There were 88 tackles missed in the game between the two teams. Shambolic

Its been a bad year for southern hemisphere rugby. NZ are just too good while the other 3 countries all have big problems.

Its a bit like the effect Kilkenny had in the hurling. The hurling championship got very boring from 2005 to 2015 but thankfully things are changing now and we had a great championship this year. Unfortunately the football is in big trouble IMO due to Dublins dominance. The GAA pumped a lot of money into Dublin to make them more competitive (probably for greedy reasons of filling croke park more often) but they've created a monster now. Its like Kilkenny hurlers but Dublin is a lot bigger than Kilkenny.

Australia look miles off where they were. Argentina have not kicked on much since they joined the rugby championship. The quota system for the South Africans is a serious handicap. The Kiwis are sitting pretty but if people stop watching it could effect them.

Union has been waning in Australia for a while due to lack of success, rugby league converts not working out, too many super rugby sides
Argentina need to stick or twist on having their players NH or SH
SA Ireckon more being hampered by admin problems, financial pull factors, than transformation but that was a problem and has only been kicked down the road a little bit

Despite not having a great host, this show is a fascinating examination about the strategic side of World Rugby, initially focussed on SH but then some very interesting insights as to what is happening and might happen in the NH.

Very good clip.

South Africa will be buoyed after their display against newzealand, and they will come here with confidence. Players of note, Malcolm Marx very powerful hooker in the mould of John Smit, Prop Kitchof and flank Du Toit, all three will give trouble. New Zealand are still far and away the best team in world rugby. If I were to pick world best team at the moment only the props. blind and openside and inside centre would not be from new zealand.
