To be fair we do talk it up as if it's a big deal. And it really isn't. The climate here (particularly on the East coast, and particularly in Dublin where it rains less than the rest of the country) is basically no big deal. Yes we have winter. It's rarely cold. Summer could be nicer, but it's never forbidding.domhnallj wrote:

Lots of cities have fairly short windows in which they are bearable rather than eyeball freezingly cold or old people killingly hot.
We just whinge about ours like it's some kind of punishment from god.
