The 6 nations is killing Leinster’s season.
Coming round to the English idea of just playing it at the end of the season

I'd be surprised if he isn't gone for the season. Gutting.ronk wrote:Henshaw will be gone for a while

That would have been a nice score if Poite didnt block it.

Leavy got a bit caught out there. Unusual for him.

Lovely hands by Toner and Carbery there. Toner seems to either have sublime hands or feet for hands today

Two worries.
With HenRose out who plays 13.
Easy tries conceded out wide is worrying, very worrying.

TV3 saying Ringer possibly back in time for Wales? Seems unrealistic

Knock to knee apparently just a precaution, seems like Furlong is a similar callronk wrote:Hurt?FLIP wrote: Why take Conan off?

Aki and Farrell is a very one dimensional combo
Porter and Conan went great
That game struck me as a bit of a classic Schmidt give them nothing to analyse game; a lot of the same plays repeated especially inside shoulder loops

Ringrose is supposed to be back soon, possibly next week if not the week after.
Getting him into some for would be a huge boost.

If (big ‘if’) Ringrose comes back- and Furlong recovers, we won’t be too badly set. That “we” is mostly Leinster-focused, Ireland as well though.

A worrying trend has crept into Ireland's recent performance.
Our second half performances in our last four internationals have been a significant drop off on the first half.

Good outing from us apart from the injuries. Porter had a very good game. No way Murray was MOTM tho, that would either have to go to Earls or Henshaw. I have to say the standard of refereeing from Roman Poite was unacceptable, he let Italy away with absolute murder to the point of stupidity, also bad positioning cost us a clear 7 pointer which could be telling in the end. As people who read my posts on the board know, I very rarely complain about a referee but the standard across the board in this six nations has been appalling (by usually high standards). Garces let the English away with murder rolling onto the wrong side of the ruck ( Dan Cole being a chief suspect, but certainly wasn't alone) and being offside on a number of occasions. Nigel Owens also had a very poor game with Ireland France, they really need to (like the players do) go and have a good hard look at themselves. Poor poor refereeing across the board. Having said that, well done Ireland, a few defensive lapses that need to be ironed out, but very good overall.

Re: Ireland Vs Italy, Lansdowne Road, Saturday 10th Feb @14:
Did we see proper defensive lapses or double bluffs of "system problems" allowed against Italy to lure stronger teams to try the same play but be ready and able for turnover ball as a result?

Let's hope Gatties wondering the same thing!TerenureJim wrote:Did we see proper defensive lapses or double bluffs of "system problems" allowed against Italy to lure stronger teams to try the same play but be ready and able for turnover ball as a result?
