Good luck to Enniscorthy & Tullow on Sunday, should be one hard game which I expect 'Scorthy to come out on top!

Some schlock in Cup today. Longford beating Enniscorthy, Wicklow beating Newbridge and Gorey going very close to beating Cill Dara. Tullamore looking like favourites at this stage!

The Longford V Scorthy match was a brilliant advertisement for cup rugby with both teams going at it hammer and tongs. The visitors Lineout was destroyed and this hurt their ability to retain possession. Al in all Longford deserved the win and probably "wanted" it that much more given the tragic loss of Banno during the week.

Second round draw below, Naas v Dundalk should be a good tie, as will Wicklow v Tullow, could be an open cup this year, no real team of the calibre of Tullamore this year..........

Co Carlow v Newbridge or New Ross
• Rathdrum v Tullamore
• Wicklow v Tullow
• Portlaoise v Enniscorthy
• Roscrea or Cill Dara v Midland Warriors
• Dundalk v Naas
• Ashbourne v Gorey
• Kilkenny v Arklow or Clondalkin

These matches will be played on Sunday the 16th of February at 3.00pm. All first named teams are at home except in the Roscrea or Cill v Midland Warriors tie; if Roscrea beat Cill Dara in the rearranged 1st round fixture in Roscrea next Saturday Midland Warriors will be at home but if Cill Dara win then Cill Dara will be at home.

Rearranged 1st round games on Saturday next 1st February at 3:00 pm:
• Roscrea v Cill Dara
• Newbridge v New Ross (venue to be decided later)
• Arklow v Clondalkin

Forget about it. Ashbourne Supremacy!
Ruddock's tackle stats consistently too low for me to be taken seriously as a Six Nations blindside..... Ruddock's defensive stats don't stack up. - All Blacks Nil, Jan 15th, 2014

Yeah Ashbourne will be very strong, pity the game is not in Gorey as they would stand more of a chance down there!

Yeah certainly couple of tasty games, Ashbourne the favourites but with the round robin will their focus be elsewhere, Wicklow v Enniscorthy final like 2 years ago maybe!

Yeah, it's fairly incredible what they do considering they have no huge population base near unlike say Naas, Boyne or Dundalk. Then again, there isn't the same competition for bodies from Football given that it's Carlow!

Scorthy beat Gorey 20-5. Wicklow will be red hot favourites to beat Longford.
