Really enjoyed listening to the BBC desert island discs podcasts. Some fancinating characters and a great insight into some interesting people - David Attenborough , Brian Moore, Stephen Hawking... They have put up a huge back catalogue of them too. Beats listening to those breakfast radio fools on the way to work

The new IT podcast Second Captains is worth listening to, apparently the guys who do it used to host a radio show on some channel

Anyone got any good podcasts they can recommend:

A couple of podcasts I listen to religiously are to be found on the nfl website. Rich Eisen is a bigwig amongst journalists covering all matters NFL related. The podcast is highly informative and always delivered in good humour. Dave Dameshek is just a nutcase. I reckon you wouldn't have to have the slightest interest in american football to enjoy his madcap podcasts. The podcast is a 'must hear' any time he has Terence Newman on as a guest/co-host. That guy is a legend

You can add me to the fan club, it's superb. As the guy says himself, most people's knowledge of Watergate just stems from watching All the President's Men and that's certainly true in my case, the whole thing is fascinating though. Never heard of the guy who did this before, hope he turns his attention to other historical events after this.

Listening to Jon Ronson's Butterfly Effect. 3 episodes in and its really interesting. Typically quirky topic he's selected but its interesting. Its an 8 episode documentary on the effect of the internet on the porn industry.

Malcolm Gladwells Revisionist History is also another interesting one.

As for Rugby Podcasts. I would listen to Joe.ie's (Hard Yards), Lukes (The Left Wing), Off the ball (Monday and Wednesday), and have recently started to listen to Flats and Shanks.
