A 2 or 3 year deal with Joey would be ok a 1 year deal that is rumoured does nothing for us long term, in fact it slows down development of our potential young 10's and we might even lose the beat one we have over it.lummix wrote:Just as well David nucifora did listen to all the moaners on here saying making pienar leave would destroy Ulster. well done David, he might be right about Joey as wellXanthippe wrote:So of the six main (male) awards tonight at the Ulster awards John Cooney got three and Nick Timony got two.

Hugely tempted to travel to Kingspan for this game on Sunday. Will the Heavens open or the Earth roar? Belfast on Sundays can be a very quiet place, hopefully not this weekend.

Sunday afternoon has improved a lot over the last couple of years, actually bars open and such things !Ruckedtobits wrote:Hugely tempted to travel to Kingspan for this game on Sunday. Will the Heavens open or the Earth roar? Belfast on Sundays can be a very quiet place, hopefully not this weekend.

Hendo out, Best could be too.
Very big game, a 3rd Heino spot for either Ireland or Wales.
Could be a right old tussle.

You know I'm going to lose,

Apparently Gibbes is being interviewed by LAR.
Ruddock's tackle stats consistently too low for me to be taken seriously as a Six Nations blindside..... Ruddock's defensive stats don't stack up. - All Blacks Nil, Jan 15th, 2014

Re: Ulster 2018-2019
I would like to have seen Chris Henry start to give them a real contest at breakdown. Diack might have the edge at line-out but Henry is a class above that, and, on his best form for 60 mins, could nearly win you the game. Diack has never contributed that impact.neill_m wrote:Teams for the Euro-playoff game Sunday 3:05pm BBC2NI/S4C

I really don't think Henry is capable of that anymore, his decline has been quite dramatic.
Re: Ulster 2018-2019
Our big day of the season has arrived, yes folks it is not silverware but a playoff to see who gets a place in the European Cup next season, predictions are Ospreys unless they think the match is on at our normal time of 7:30 pm

That's a very poor attendance for such a big game for Ulster rugby.Jackie Brown wrote:6500 in attendance

Ulster doing well.
Ospreys look clueless. Big question marks over their coaching ticket.
Re: Ulster 2018-2019
56mins into the game.
22-7.
Ulster need to slow the game down a la Racing last week and take away the bit of momentum Ospreys have started to generate.

Great interception for a try (again!) by Stockdale. 35-12 at 74 minutes with Ulster home and hosed now.
Delighted for them to make Champions Cup next year after a terrible season. Fair dos!

Well done and congrats on qualifying for the European Rugby Cup.
Presumably Joey's packing his bags as I post.

McPhilips is a better 10. If JC arrives here he will be playing at 15. We've lost Olding, Payne and Piutau.Oldschool wrote:Well done and congrats on qualifying for the European Rugby Cup.
