Edinburgh have an unfair advantage

Edinburgh have an unfair advantage
The start of the Pro (14) conference system last year, Glasgow played Edinburgh 3 times, twice away and once at home. Glasgow fans were promised that every 2nd year we would have 2 home games. However the SRU and GW management have renaged on this promise. They want to take advantage of the supposed success of their flagship "Silver Saturday" and repeat this every year.
We believe this gives Edinburgh an unfair advantage over the other teams, and from our point of view, GW are conversely disadvantaged.
To put this into context, imagine the scenario next season, It's Edinburgh and Leinster fighting it out for the 3rd place in the conference. Joint on points going into the last game, you guys have to win away at mid table Connacht and will be looking for a bonus point (not so easy away from home). Meanwhile, Edinburgh have to face Glasgow in what should be an away game but it's actually going to be played at their home game.of Murrayfield! , Where on average they have more Danes than lost!

Are you getting the gate from the 2nd Edinburgh game? Is it included for season tickets?

Danes are a particularly big problem in Scottish rugby?

If we're fighting it out for 3rd place in the conference next year and miss out on points/wins/points difference you think we'll be blaming the SRU? I had a look on your forum, real storm in a teacup stuff. It does not in anyway call into question the fairness of the league. It's not being done mid season, everyone knows from the outset. If it gets more bums on seats and a better atmosphere then sponsors/tv will be quite happy about it.Boss_cat2 wrote:The start of the Pro (14) conference system last year, Glasgow played Edinburgh 3 times, twice away and once at home. FYI Judgement day is a big money spinner for the teams. Think they originally got 240k each which is more than the dragons have ever made from a home game(some season tickets are about 100). Costs and profits are now split evenly.
It's a money spinner like Judgement day. The teams make money from it than if they hold it at home
Ruddock's tackle stats consistently too low for me to be taken seriously as a Six Nations blindside..... Ruddock's defensive stats don't stack up. - All Blacks Nil, Jan 15th, 2014

If they want to sell tickets to a big event, could they not do it in one of Celtic Park, Ibrox or Hampden Park in Glasgow?..
