Re: Welcome Home, Felipe!
Smart from Leinster, there's no way he'd ever go to Munster.

Re: Welcome Home, Felipe!
What a magnificent recruitment process. First Isa, then Fardy, then Burt, then Lowe and now Felipe. Well done the Management and welcome back Dr Felipe.

Re: Welcome Home, Felipe!
Should be great for Byrne and Frawley. Hopefully it'll work as well as Knox coaching Sexton.
Re: Welcome Home, Felipe!
Carbery must be feeling like one of Dolly Parton's triplets.

Re: Welcome Home, Felipe!
Ideal for Byrne, Frawley and Byrne Junior...big boost post the Carbery mess !! Well done to all involved with this, Leo I assume was a major part of this decision if not all of it !! Can't praise his careful Mgmt enough since he has bedded in, Lancaster, a double and now this....a wise head carefully steering the blue machine.
Re: Welcome Home, Felipe!
I am sure this has raised an eyebrow or two in Nucifora towers...
Re: Welcome Home, Felipe!
The Puma who is forever a lion. Welcome back Dr. Phil.
Joey down to Turnipstan. The doctor back. The derby that was losing some of its lustre got a bit of shine to it

Re: Welcome Home, Felipe!
My junrior cert Spanish is telling that he's going to be backs coach. Outstanding
Re: Welcome Home, Felipe!
So anyone seen much of Jaguares?
Re: Welcome Home, Felipe!
Wow that's great news!
No idea what Felipe is like as a coach, but given our recent recruitment record I'd trust Leo, Stu, Dawson, Guy et al.
If nothing else, it's great to see a true blue legend return, and it must be hugely exciting for some of the guys to work with him.
A nice injection of positivity after the Carbery stuff.

Re: Welcome Home, Felipe!
No, but AFAIK they were the form team in the soup winning 6 on the trot and playing nice rugby. The implosion of the pumas under Hourcade came as a bit of a shock. Think Ledesma(currently head coach of the Jags) is taking over for the RC. Which is odd if there's an opening at the Jags. Maybe it was felt he needed to prove himself some where else.ronk wrote:So anyone seen much of Jaguares?
Ruddock's tackle stats consistently too low for me to be taken seriously as a Six Nations blindside..... Ruddock's defensive stats don't stack up. - All Blacks Nil, Jan 15th, 2014

Re: Welcome Home, Felipe!
This. Exactly, he mentored Sexton through very nicely, he will be an excellent hands on coach with Byrne I'd imagine, as well as having Sexton to learn off week in week out.harblstuff wrote:Ross Byrne must be delighted he's the one to play in Leinster
I'd still love to know all the promises made to Carbery to get him to move, a start in Australia was clearly one, I'm sure many more, but again, another Leinster player codded by Munster and will go there for their career to die. When a club is desperate to sign you because the 3 or 4 young 10s they have in their squad haven't progressed at all, you should be wary of going to an amateur organization. Byrne will be miles ahead of him by the world cup.
Excited to see Dr. Phil back. Always a fan of keeping legends around the club as much as is possible and reasonable.

Eh lads, Philipe was primarily a great centre and a reasonable OH.
I'll be more than interested to hear what exactly his role is and what his professional coaching qualifications, as a coach, are.
I just don't want us to become a coaching academy for Argentina.
Ask not what we can do for Felipe but what can Felipe do for Leinster.

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall who's the greatest player of them all? It is Drico your majesty.
