Terrific. I think if he can get a run of games he might surprise a few people. I was impressed with his aggression in pre-season last year. His first big challenge will be to try and stay healthy for a while. Best of luck too him

Turns 27 in Jan. Still young enough that he could potentially qualify for the US before he turns 30.

Seriously unlikely, but the idea of the US playing 2 outhalves who grew up about 5km from each other in Dublin I find quite funny

I wonder what the visa situation is anyway. It's only a very short season, can't imagine the players will be there all year which would affect their residency qualification. It doesn't really matter with Marsh, but I'm guessing there will be a heap of foreign players who around 21/22 signing over the next couple of years with a view to playing for the US.

Although he's not a Leinster player, he is now certainly an Irish exile. Tomas Quinlan is now playing for Narbonne as this article from The42 illustrates:

I first saw him up close in the JWC when he and Joey Carbery were late replacements for Ross Byrne and Tomas took the lion's share of game time. A very quiet man off the pitch, he is understated on it but has brought success to most teams he plays with. His accumulation of medals with Cork Con is awesome and for the past three Seasons he has tormented opposition back-rows in the AIL.

The very best of luck to this grossly underestimated out-half who has a great rugby brain, a superb place-kicking success rate and the temprement to lead a team to success by optimising their rugby strengths. Good well Tomas and believe in yourself.

BTW, his comment about the potential for other AIL players to succeed in France is a really interesting comment from a guy who has seen both scenes from the inside.

Think he might have been better off accepting the South Canterbury offer. Playing in the Heartland Championship earned Thornbury and Crosbie provincial call-ups.
