Brian O’Meara, a former Ireland scrum half and team-mate at Cork Con, is part of the rugby programme overseen by Andy Skehan at St Michael’s in Dublin. Brian tells me that they have players to come who are potentially even better than recent students like Dan Leavy, James Ryan and Ross Byrne.

3. Charlie Ward (Tullow RFC/Clontarf/Leinster)
6. Cian Prendergast (Newbridge College/UCD/Leinster)

19. Brian Deeney (Wexford RFC/Clontarf/Leinster)
20. Sean O'Brien (Blackrock College/Leinster)
McKee, seems a bit strange. School in Campbell but in the Leinster sub academy. Given he's captain, its unlikely that hes gone under the radar in Ulster.
Never argue with an idiot. Someone looking on may not be able tell the difference

He was Ulster and Ireland schools captain last year along with being captain of the senior cup winning Campbell College side.
He and Ulster had a falling out over his position apparently, he played loosehead last season but wanted to play hooker going forward. Ulster disagreed. So he approached Leinster's sub-academy.
Or at least this was the story going around. Wouldn't surprise me if he headed back north next season.

Coached a few of the lads on this thread through minis and I have to say I'd never ever have called Giuseppe! Couldn't believe it when I saw him playing JCT at Rock but he's really put the work in obviously. Great to see!

Fair play, i'd say it's great to see lads you'd have coached progressing so far. Which club was it?

Belvo, though Giuseppe wasn't there at mini level. I had the pleasure of coaching him at soccer. Genuinely delighted for him though, his Dad is an absolute gent and one of the nicest people you'll ever meet despite being from Munster....
It is great to see not just our lads but other lads from other clubs at the time come through. This is what makes Leinster such a special club and different to the big money boys. We watch our team, we saw the players grow up, we know their parents.

I've seen quite a bit of him on the Trinity U20's this season. IMHO he's one of 3 stand out players. He's not the biggest prop you've ever seen but he uses his height to get under opposition THs and is very destructive. But the real joy is to see him in open play. Real pace and beautiful ball skills. Always looking to get the hands free in contact............I suspect hes a frustrated 13...

Who are the other two?
Be interested to see if he makes Ireland 20's squad and if so, does he start etc.
