Exeter are going to get their TBP win against Castres.
Next week's game between Munster and Exeter is going to be the match of the round.
It's live on Virgin One and Channel 4.
Mirror, Mirror on the Wall who's the greatest player of them all? It is Drico your majesty.

Yeah a 4-0 or 5-1 win for Exeter would see them win the group.

Interesting stat. Exeter's win (pending) is the first time a Prem team wins a game v a non Prem team (apart form Saracens) since round 2 when Newcastle beat Montpellier.
You know I'm going to lose,
And gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby, I don't want to live FOREVER!

Exeter are a good side and have gotten a good few guys back from injury since round 1.

Some serious X factor players in backline too.

Could be a cracker in Thomond.

Wins for Exeter, Sarries and Glasgow, all with bonus points, means that very little decided until next weekend. Sarries definitely through, even if Glasgow beat them in Sarries.

Only certainties from this week are who's out: Bath, Wasps, Castres, Gloucester, Cardiff, Lyon, Scarlets, Leicester, Toulon, Newcastle. That's five from the Premiership, three from Top 14 and two from Pro 14. In four Pools first plays second next weekend. Ten teams left but only 8 can qualify. Decent bet for anybody who can get all eight correct.

The ten teams in contention comprise:

* Five from Pro 14;
* Three from Top 14;
* Two from Premiership.

Conclusions, on the back of a postcard, should be sent to somewhere in Switzerland.

And from our point of view, any sort of win will do to secure a home qf and a top 3 seeding.

If we're looking for a top 2 spot, we'll need Sarries or Racing to slip up.

Or alternatively, a Racing win without a BP and a BP win for us would likely see us go ahead of them in the rankings on points diff.

not that i disagree with you, perhaps i just see it differently...

Glasgow have the ability to beat Saracens....it was a low scoring game in round 1....and on 19 points at the moment Glasgow really have something to play for...not just to get through themselves, but a win (or additional bonus points) could avoid their quarter final being against the top seed at home...
Scarlets have the ability to beat Racing...there was only 1 point in it in round one...and Ulster showed that Racing are not as good as last year....

So rather than thinking of a "slip up" by the English or French...the Pro14 teams can do this on merit.....

We can just focus on winning on the Sunday...we will know what has gone on the previous day...

If I were in a position to offer Scarlets any advice in their endeavours against Racing I would suggest that they target Nakarawa and specifically not his offloading.
He invariably manages to get the offload away.
The problem is that while teams are trying to stop him offloading he makes even more yardage.
Therefore teams should be tackling him and stopping his momentum. This would also have the advantage of making the offload less impactful.

I'll be surprised, but delighted, if Ulster get a BP away to Leicester. Tigers may be out but they're playing at home and don't fear Ulster. Biggest game is Edinburgh v Montpelier where loser could miss out completely. Think Glasgow will get at least one point.

As you say Edinburgh v Montpellier is the bigger.
Edinburgh lost by only 6 points away to Montpellier in the first round. They have the capacity to beat Montpellier and it'll be interesting to see what the bookies think.
I think Edinburgh will be favourites.
If Edinburgh win then Glasgow and Ulster are sorted.
It's very difficult to see Glasgow getting anything away to Saracens whereas Ulster are likely to get something at Leicester.
So
Saracens v Glasgow
Racing v Ulster
Leinster v Toulouse
Edinburgh v Munster

Leading to
Saracens v Munster
Racing v Leinster

Munster v Leinster

Leinster.

If Racing get a home Semi Final wonder would it be in the old Parc Des Princes, I would imagine Stade des Frances would be unlikely ?.

They played their 'home' semi final Bordeaux last year I seem to recall.

Yep loved that day !. Just provisionally booked somewhere in the center of the city for Apr 21st and 22nd on the off chance !. They would play it on a Sunday probably so the accommodation options are a bit limited it’s around Easter time !.
