Leinster Homegrown Forwards
Following on from this article which highlighted an interesting comment from a leinster loss a few years back:
“As I said in a previous post, Leinster ‘bought’ their H-Cups,” they posted online. “For each year they were successful they had a hard, aggressive forward that led the way — [Rocky] Elsom, [Brad] Thorn, [Nathan] Hines. Sadly they have none this year and boy does it show. Indigenous Leinster forwards just don’t have that hard edge. Simple fact.”

What about indigenous Leinster forwards not playing for Leinster:
Marty Moore
Jordi Murphy
Nick Timoney
Tadhg Beirne
Marty Moore
Jordi Murphy
Nick Timoney
Tadhg Beirne
Can I raise a practical question at this point? Are we gonna do "Stonehenge" tomorrow?

Given the players mentioned it was written around 2012 at the earliest. Sean O'Brien was European player of the year in 2011. You'd need to be cognitively deficient to think that he didn't have that "hard edge" especially around that time.
Back then we also had Cian Healy rapidly approaching his first peak to be a test lion before a cruel injury struck him down.
In the back row there was also Locky and Jenno. Neither had fantastic skill levels to be considered world class but it's hard to argue against them being tough as nails. Neither player was known for giving an inch.
But alas, we mustn't let facts get in the way of... simple facts
I don't really buy into this "hard edge" reputation that people fawn on about players. For me people tend to focus on it too much to gloss over obvious deficiencies in the rest of their game

It was a comment under RTE's match report from the away defeat to Wasps three years ago. I wouldn't pay it much attention.arsebiscuits1 wrote:What a strange quote. Re: Leinster Homegrown Forwards
Leinster bought their H Cups....
How exactly did Sarries and Toulon go about winning them...?
Wiki has all the finals up with flags beside the players names, it makes interesting viewing comparing recent finals to ones 10+ years ago

Re: Leinster Homegrown Forwards
If we are claiming the like of Nick Timoney and even Robin Copeland as "Leinster developed players" then Surely Rhys is an Osprey
