Challenge Cup 2018/19

Post by neill_m »

Current standings in the Challenge Cup heading into Round 6. A BP win for Connacht would likely see them away at Sale, a win probably will see them travelling to Clermont and if they slip up in France, Benetton could overtake them.

Clermont 25 (Dragons A)
La Rochelle 20 (Zebre A)
Sale 17 (Perpignan H)
Worcester 17 (Stade H)
Quins 16 (Agen A)

Connacht 17 (Bordeaux A)
Bristol 16 (Enisei H)
Saints 16 (Timisoara Sarries H)

Benetton 15 (Grenoble A)
Ospreys 12 (Pau A)

Saw someone mention on twitter that there were 100 people at Bristol's game in Sochi at the weekend. That was with the caveat that it's the off season in Russia and the weather meant that the game was moved, but still a bit mad.

It was moved 5000km away - bound to put a small dent in attendences

No doubt, but still mad that a big team like Bristol would be playing in front of a crowd like that.

Connacht through to a QF, I think it will be away to Sale, again.
You know I'm going to lose,
And gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby, I don't want to live FOREVER!

(1) ASM Clermont Auvergne v (8) Northampton Saints
(4) Worcester Warriors v (5) Harlequins
(3) Sale Sharks v (6) Connacht Rugby
(2) La Rochelle v (7) Bristol Bears

Connacht would be at home v Bristol or away at La Rochelle in the semi final if they beat Sale.
