Conan to get us out of the danger zone when we’re in our own 22 (pack failed last week to do that so backline tried instead)
Murray to hit touch with his clearance kicks, and to keep the passes at chest height
Best to avoid crash ball and use his energy elsewhere
SOB to continue his power performance from last week
POM to take over Toners lineout superiority
The team to make a pass before contact on crashball like Leinster do to avoid being targeted with a double tackle
Earls to stay on his wing (except planned moves)
Stockdale to stop juggling the ball when he receives it
The exciting bench to be used early enough to have an impact
It is a power team picked so we should expect that to be used in a confrontation way
And to occasionally pass the ball to players who are running support for him.
His nickname in our house is "pass the fcuking ball Jacob"

For fairness, before i'm accused of picking on Stockdale, we also have '"for Christ sake run at them Robert" among others!

Yes!

He has a habit of taking it into contact when he should really pass but what bothers me more is that he's so big and strong that he usually gets through the tackle to some extent and could offload the ball but tends to tuck it under his arm and just go to ground. Others need to react to him too though, there was a perfect example of that on Saturday when he blew an overlap but made it halfway through a tackle and a support runner could have hacked up but they all just stood back.

Theres no point in offloading if no one is making the run, and theres no point in making the run if the player in possession isn't going to offload. Its a vicious circle, but one drawn by the coach, not the players.

Fair point, but I think the players should be more alive to what he can do. In the example I'm thinking of the players outside almost seemed pissed off that he hadn't passed and just stopped playing, think he would have given the offload if someone had run. Sounds like I'm exaggerating about them stopping but thought our attitude was awful at times on Saturday.

Another example of us switching off was when there was a loose ball near halfway and none of our players even dived for it, just stood back and let England have it.

There are many other examples unfortunately!

SOB didn't make the captain's run and is being managed.
Now Joe don't be a bold boy.
If he's not fit he's no good to us.

Scots look far more dangerous with ball in hand.

Conor Murray isn't back to usual self yet, we've already had a change at 10, and Aki isn't at his usual level either. Thats a lot of play in the teams axle.

Sexton is targeted because the replacement is a huge step down. How is Carbery ahead of Byrne? Missing PJ now.

Jaysus Kearney has been great today. Not perfect, but great.

Well done Joey too . What he lacks in ability he certainly makes up for in confidence.

not sure how POM got MOTM. Didn't see many MOTM performances in green to be fair; but SOB was immense

Carbery made/scored 10; and gave away 10 (intercept, and wrong option trying to run it from 22 and resultant TO pen)

Jamie Heaslip bottled mom.
RK made a huge huge difference both psychological and physically.
Important result given the RWC dry.
Murray's passing?

was screaming at the TV to get Murray off from 60 on. Too slow in passing, and inaccurate. Just prior to being hauled ashore he nearly threw an intercept as his last action. Russell just pulled his hand back for whatever reason. Murray's form is worrying. He's back long enough now.

Geez that was scrappy...nowhere near the high water mark they have set. Well done RK...steps up yet again - my MOM. WTF is up with Murray.
Good job Scotland fluffed their lines in the 2nd half.

Would have given MOTM to Earls or Kearney. Carbery was strong psychologically but lots of technical flaws as had Murray.

Good win and great D and set pieces.
