I doubt he will make the squad though bar some injuries, we shall wait and see.

Lots of good young Munster players in that team. Imagine if they started producing pros at the rate that we are. That would be one fine team in green.

This is an exceptional age grade for them, don't look as strong at u18/u19.

Casey the 9 is rumoured to be out.

And Harry Byrne probably......but still good enough to win.

Lots of great performances but Baird made the real difference for me. Looks like a smashing player.

Well done young fellas! :happy clapper:

That was a win for the spirit of this team and timely substitutions by the Coach. The best player on the pitch was in red and Ieuen Evans' son was really excellent. But Ireland refused to stop trying without the direction they have had upto now at half-back.

Great support from families and other die-hards here in Colwyn Bay and what a way to break our duck here.

Yes, some of Ryan Baird's contributions were great. But when you watch him in action, you notice how little he does between his 'action-man moments'. The contrast with Charlie Ryan is stark. But Baird is only a kid and a superb specimen with time on his side, if he has the appetite.

There'll be time later to do a more detailed appraisal but for tonight just "Well done lads, that was a magnificent win, go and enjoy it".

What attitude these younfellas have. Never give up, hit with plenty of blows but keep coming back. Our 1st "official" Slam at U20s. A brilliantly entertaining campaign. :happy clapper: :happy clapper: :happy clapper:

Played badly in a stadium no Irish U20 team has ever won in but they won with a bonus try and had 3 TMO decisions going against them. Not bad!

The team as a whole played badly but the individuals got them the win. The opposite to what the pundits were saying about the team being better than the sum of its parts.
Dara O'Briain called the win "lucky".

The change of half backs changed the game.
