So we took 8 into our academy, 1 in the senior squad and 3 to other provinces.

Aungier, Kelleher, O'Sullivan & O'Brien moved into year 2 in the academy.

Sheehan, Dunne, Baird, Patterson, Byrne & Silvester joined the leinster academy.

Clarke went to the Munster Academy.

All the year 3s + Frawley and O'Sullivan. Penny probably given SOB leaving but maybe not with Connors.

With 2 deep in each halfback position the academy front runners are effectively full squad anyway so should be promoted.

I like your right leg. A lovely leg for the role.
I've got nothing against your right leg.
The trouble is ... neither have you

I wouldn't be 100% confident on Kelly/Keenan, given their involvement with the 7's team at the moment.

Possible incoming Leinster academy class:

Tom Clarkson(TH Prop/Blackrock/DUFC) - u19
John McKee(Hooker/Campbell/Old Belvedere) - u19
Charlie Ryan(Lock/Blackrock/UCD) - u20
Martin Moloney(Backrow/Athy RFC/Old Belvedere) - u20
Cormac Foley(Scrumhalf/St. Gerards/St. Marys) - u20
Liam Turner(Centre-Wing/Blackrock/DUFC) - u20

With possible late additions post preseason.

Based on this years under 20s 6N, this crop of players seems to be exceptionally talented. I know that's easy to say about players on a winning team but Clarkson, Ryan, Moloney and Turner especially all are at an incredible standard at the moment and physically impressive and all look like they're well able to push on
He's gotten awfully fond of that brick

Based On his Leinster caps Id have no questions over Keenan being given a year. 7s distraction is worth extra time if it wasnt just farming out someone who was already definitely getting cut.

Kelly is still young. He came through faster which is a reason to give him another shot if he's making progress. We'll know more in a year.

I tend to agree especially given its a World cup season, but given both will spent rest of the season playing 7's who knows what they will do next season.

The demise of the B&I Cup gives these guys more time to do 7s.
