Rumour that Buckley is off to either Bristol or France.
Couldn't blame him if he was. Has no chance of International Honours under Schmidt so might as well head off and make some money for a few seasons. He can always come back in a season or two and see if Farrell rates him.

As for McAllister how do people rate him? Is he any good? Don't really have any strong memories of him.

McAlister is a good LHP who got a lot of good coaching in Gloucester and plenty of game-time and hard-nosed Premiership experience. He'll be a good Squad addition. If Buckley is moving it's a pity for Connacht. He may get more minutes and money but he won't get as good opportunities as in Connacht.

Looks like Steven Fitzgerald is going to be staying at Connacht from next season onwards. Heard a rumour it's a toss-up between Peter Robb and Tom Daly for another contract at Connacht. Anone hear about Daly being kept on here?

Not sure that Friend has selected the right backrow to oppose Sale. It's their strongest unit

Nice touch with Sale acknowledging the 100 caps for 2 players including Tom McCartney.

The Connacht backs defence has been absolutely shocking. Sale have barely broken sweat to get their big lead.

How are the Nigel's going to spin this?

Pesky Irish team throwing a European match to concentrate on the league.

And it a league with no relegation.

The way they're playing tonight, Connacht couldn't throw this game without knocking it on

Godwin's last three kicks have been impressively bad. If Connacht had wanted to win this then they would have had a great chance, really don't understand why they wouldn't go for it.

They're kicking for the line because they have no one who can kick a goal. But they're missing those too.

That competition is only going to get tougher to win. Friend will not be too sorry to have a single focus for the remainder of the Season. Hope Bealham and Carty are not serious injuries although Bealham's looked nasty.

No fracture hand to Bealham just a very bad laceration. 24 stiches in the hand but it means he'll be back in a few weeks.

All three signings make sense. Lloyd and Daly are needed for cover Marmion and Aki off to the RWC. Kelleher is leaving so Fitzgerald is a straight swop. If Connacht could find themselves a back-up 10 they'd be dancing.

Craig Ronaldson, James Mitchell, James Connolly, Conán O’Donnell, Peter McCabe, Peter Claffey and James Cannon are all leaving Connacht. With Conor McKeon and Eoin Griffin retiring. I gotta say I'm shocked. That is one hell of a clean out. With that many players gone I would expect some players from other provinces being moved to Connacht. No idea who though. It looks like maybe two or more academy players will be promoted from inside Connacht but that Mick Kearney to Connacht rumour suddenly makes a lot more sense to me.
